First off, let me introduce myself: My name is Tim Bruner and I am your current USPF Texas State Chairman. Some of you out there may already know me as "The People's Champion"

which is my less than serious internet alter ego. I DO take the job of USPF State Chairman very seriously, however. So how did I land this appointment?
Well... my qualifications DO include 30 years of competitive lifting, being a USPF judge and holding more than a few USPF records. Another biggie is that I'm a USPF man to the core and totally support the standards and rules that this great federation represents.
Texas has always been a BIG part of the sport of Powerlifting and in 2002 had over 1,000 registered USPF members. Over the years, the Lone Star state has seen some of the strongest lifters in the world gracing its USPF meets plus numerous Senior National and World Championship events.
As your State Chairman, it will be my job to insure that the USPF remains the BEST powerlifting federation in Texas! As always, the HUGE Texas State and Texas Cup Championship Meets will continue their long standing USPF presence in this state and will also be joined by other great events like an annual USPF Texas State Bench Press Championship Meet!
So stay tuned! The best is yet to come for Texas lifters in the USPF...
